Amidst the hope

I just want to sound a small note of caution...
All the participants in the trial (all of whom were without CRPS symptoms since the treatment, with no relapse) had only
had CRPS for less than 4 months. Anyone with previous neurological symptoms was excluded. All participants also had CRPS in either a hand or foot (ie extremities only).
Now, this might well mean that the treatment will be approved for new CRPS cases fairly quickly, as the results were so impressive. Whether it will be approved for patients who have had the disease long-term is unknown. As far as I can tell from researching on the web, no trial of it has been conducted on patients suffering from CRPS for a long time. I'm not sure how these things are decided, but I just wanted to throw this small hat into the proverbial ring.
I have only had this for 2 1/2 years (only. Lol), and I can only imagine how it feels to have had this monster for decades, as many here have. I hope there is a BIG PUSH to get this treatment tested on those with CRPS for years - surely the long term patients deserve to know quickly whether this might help us all....after all, those treated quickly have the best chance of recovery anyway. They had better not forget about us in the rush to get this approved.
Just some thoughts. Hope all here are having one of their better days...
Bram.
