I'm sorry Nathanael. I got hurt a week after you so I'm new at all of this too. I can tell you that none of my friends have stepped up either. I did get a card from work but I've had friends say "enjoy your time off" and "you're still not better?????" Most people just aren't going to get it.
I'm glad to hear that your mom is supportive. It helps a lot to have family rally around you.
