Two words: Second Opinion (and more if necessary) The doctor-patient relationship is based on trust, and communication is paramount to establishing and maintaining that trust. If this neuro isn't interested in answering valid questions and/or communicating with you to your satisfaction, a change may be in order.

Did you have some type of accident or injury that could have resulted in a broken neck?

I don't know exactly what a "crush fracture" is; I have heard of a compression fracture.
This doesn't mean that there is no such thing as crush fracture; I just haven't heard the term before, or found it via quick search.
