Sadlyme, I agree wtih Mari, that it's easy to medicate those awful racing thoughts and the anxiety. Like Mari it nearly did me in too. The only thing is I never really realized how much the thoughts were racing until the medication kicked in and I saw what it was really like to be in control over your mind. I thought everyone was like I was and fighting to maintain a coherent LINE of thoughts. I was so bad with it I couldn't PRAY in one sentence without having my thoughts overlapping each other, it was just terrible, but my T advised me that I should start on Lithium and I refused viaing for an atypical anti-psychotic like risperdal which helped but gave me weight gain and tingling lips.

She then prescribed abilify and that was when I finally found relief. It was amazing the difference between the way I was and the way I feel and think now. Good luck to you today, I hope your wife will listen and be understanding towards your situation. It's hard to try to explain what's going on in your head sometimes but having your Pdoc there will help you to stay grounded and having your wife there will help you to focus on what you feel you need to get across to her.

Best wishes to you Sadlyme.
