TN is usually treated with anticonvulsant meds, not pain meds, though sometimes I have been given narcotics for breakthrough pain. Please do see a neurologist. I hope you find help and can get rid of the pain. This isn't a kind of pain that is easily tolerated! It can be pretty high on the pain scale! I hope some others will have more to add...
