Certainly beats huddling over a laptop!!! Nice big screen, too... much easier on the eyes. And I'm thinking the docking station probably makes your machine run a bit better/faster, no? Not sure of the power considerations there.

I got my new system today, so I have a laptop running Windows 8 now. I
might be able to help you ditch Seattle, depending when/where that pic comes up... if you want to tell me. I could not tell from what you said what you meant by "opening picture". Does it comes up
before the Start screen and then go away?
I have got my machine basically workable. Ghhhh! Went nuts with my (rather old) ADSL modem refusing to be used by Win 8. I finally had to hook it up a different way than with the other machine... but at least I don't have to replace it!
It's been a long day. The antenna tech came as well as the laptop delivery... when it rains it pours.
