Grace,

I do want to mention the fact that when I had my fusion, I was given a soft brace to wear for 6 months. I wore it all day except when showering and bedtime. It does remind you not to do any bending, lifting, etc. That is so very important because you can cause yourself more harm. You may have to "close your eyes"; but pushing youself is not worth it. You will have to be very careful bending when feeding dogs or them possibly jumping on you. If need be; maybe hubby can pick up some carry outs for dinners.

As Pam mentioned prepare and freeze whatever you can make ahead, including freezing bread. Stock frig with lunchmeat. Pantry with cereals, etc. You will be fine as long as you heed not overdoing things; especially the bending.

Pray all will go well.
