I didn't even know it was nerve pain until a year ago. I have no health insurance and the only doc I can see is a complete moron . Burning, spreading, electric, mirrored pain. That screams NERVE PAIN and he keeps giving me those damn NSAIDS!! I don't even fill them anymore...
Glad I found this forum, no one I know understands what I am going through.
Hi Nick,

Welcome. So sorry to hear of your situation. You have found the right place for people that understand what you are going through with "nerve" pain. Yes, the burning, electrical shocks, and other symptoms.

It sounds like you have not been diagnosed with anything specific as of yet. Having no health insurance makes getting the proper dx and care even more difficult. If you had insurance, I would suggest that you see a neurologist for a proper dx and treatment plan. Luckily, I have never had to navigate health care without health insurance so I do not know what might be available to you in terms of low cost but quality care.

There are many people here that may be of assistance in directing you to resources if needed.

It sounds like you need the services of a Neurologist, not a moron.

Even WITH health insurance, it took years for me to get a dx. I was given a nood and pat on the back and dismissed for a long time not knowing what was wrong with me. When the progression continued, I finally DEMANDED to see someone that had the capability of providing me with a dx since the docs I had seen did not seem to have a clue. I don't think the docs were morons, they just were not versed in the specialty of neurology. It wasn't until I finally saw a neurologist that I got a dx.

Wishing you better days and better care. Hope you can find a way to see a neurologist and get some answers and some help.
