I am not sure. Elavil and nortriptyline work mostly in the brain
to render effects. But they do have some peripheral actions as well.

You should ask your doctor and/or your testing agent what to use.
I know some EMG patients are allowed drugs, like Valium etc. But I am not sure about this one.

Maybe someone else here knows.

There is however a controversy about the temperature you are at during testing. Some places warm you up, with heat lamps and others don't. We have had several discussions about that as well.
So if you ask about your medication, ask about that also. It is so cold this winter, temperature may be a factor.
