To put some perspective on this, the paper referenced says that:
"Study participants showed significant improvement of six points on average on a measure called the Unified Parkinson’s Disease Rating Scale."
The full UPDRS test is marked out of 199. See:

So, this therapy gives only a 3% improvement. That's better than nothing, but still rather disappointing. It would be interesting to know how this compared with the placebo effect.
