The Wishing tree
Sparkles
Its golden boughs
Bend with the stars
Of a thousand dreams

The sun dances
Over and around it
And the tree
Thirsts for fulfilment to come

Gradually the starry blossoms
Fade with age
And drop into the shadows
Still the sun dances
Over and around
The wishing tree

The wind takes her silver broom
And sweeps the fallen dreams
They swirl
Into a pile of glowing embers
Their hope has not yet died

As tiny sparks they fly
And rise again
To land on the golden boughs

The wishing tree
Sparkles
Its golden boughs
Bend with the stars of a thousand dreams

Best wishes

Every now and then it's hard to rise above pain and fear. I put myself in a ''pink'' bubble headspace for some peace of mind and a different perspective. This poem is about finding that space!

Í'm floating in a bubble
Blissfully rising free of trouble
Oh what joy and sheer relief
To transcend lightly over grief
Instead of wading through it

Some say my joy will not last long
For bubble walls are not that strong
And peace is such a flimsy veil
That I must walk the harrowed trail
Like many souls around me

Yet my bubble grows in wonder
Ever firmer 'midst the thunder
Of the many stormy viewpoints in the world

For you see my happy bubble
I just like a bell of peace
Golden armour on the outside
Sacred space shielded beneath
And I know I am the clapper
And the song that I sing out
Is that peace can last forever
But it's joy that gives it clout

So if you see a bubble
Do not stop it
Catch it
Pop it
Just remember that its joy
You have within
Do not listen to the sceptic
With faint heart or thoughts turned septic
Let peace bubble on its journey
All the way

And to thank you
For your trouble
You will soon be
In a bubble
Of your own

Best wishes
Aggie
