Homocysteine when elevated will irritate the linings of the blood vessels. You can have this tested by a blood test...but some insurances will not pay for it.
It is typically treated with activated B6, methylcobalamin and methylfolate vitamins.
If it is really high and out of range, it can lead to blood clots or strokes/heart attacks.
