Yes I filed for SSDI and finally got approved last June. It took me almost 2yrs to get approved. I was denied the first time and then got a lawyer the second time around and he was stunned I was even denied because of everything and after another 6 months of filing and waiting I got approved. It can be a battle, but make sure all your drs are ok with filling out paper work, because the more drs you have, then it falls more in your favor. They are getting cheap though because the are generally, the whole system is running out of money for SSDI, so I got the lowest income they could give me by law. But that gave me an advantage because I don't have to pay for any of my scripts or health insurance. I can also get help with housing, cars (I cant drive though) food stamps etc... In my state though it is a 5yr waiting list to get help with housing so im getting ready to see what it takes to get on that list so im atleast on it.
