Here are my two rescue dogs. Katie (cow dog mix) was found by a friend on the side of the highway, sitting next to her fallen sibling. She was about 6 months old and had been abandoned by some migrant dairy workers. She took a long time to nurse back to health, and still is very afraid of cars.

I found Sally on a humane society website. I am a sucker for a fuzzy face! She is a schnauzer/shar pei cross, and had been picked up on the streets. She loves riding in cars and goes CRAZY whenever someone brings in a pizza box. We joke that in her former life she belonged to a pizza delivery person.

This photo was taken years ago, when they were in their prime. They are seniors now and probably have only a few birthdays left. They are strongly bonded to each other, and are never far from one another.
