I'm curious what is worse when it comes to nerves...pain or numbness?

Also, if there's anything meaningful when a reduction in pain is followed by numbness? Does this mean nerves are starting to awaken? Or is it getting worse?

After two weeks of some serious tissue work on pec minor and subclavious and some strengthening of my rhomboids, pain levels have decreased quite a bit. Maybe cut in half. On the flip side, numbness on my index finger appeared with periodic tingles across the whole hand.

I have no idea if I'm just spinning my wheels here, getting worse, or getting better.
