KerOpi, you spoke of having such a time with your hands, and having childhood troubles with paralysis. My hands were my first problem. I did well in sports like running or dancing but got all D's or F's in anything to do with throwing or hitting a ball. And it was supposed to be because i didn't want to socialize, according to one teacher. So I concentrated on dance, and was known as an excellent dancer, on toe in ballet no less--until I got sick at 17. Then I could not even get up on my toes again, and I couldn't figure out why, because no one diagnosed me. I lived in a fog where I--and everyone else--assumed I just wasn't trying or coping well. There were times when I could hardly write with a pen, but I was good at typing, so computers are a blessing. The neural deficit strikes some places, not others--making it easy for me to type, hard for me to hold a pen unless I'm feeling really well, going through a good patch. It's dramatic how the pen-manipulating varies from day to day, for me. Up and down. I must have remissions and relapses at a faster rate than some.

Hoping for UP for you, soon! Since you are new, I recommend the Swank MS Diet. I am certain I do better when I follow it, although it's not a cure-all. I knew Dr. Swank, he was one of my diagnosticians. I believe his diet helps some of us a LOT. So if you haven't already, consider looking at it. It's really an easy diet!
