I have always had difficulty with penmanship, just thought of as lazy and typing was much easier as well. Unfortunately in the past year typing has become a challenge as well. I'm hoping the OT will help with that.
I have always been very uncoordinated at sports that involved hands. I was MVP of my track team in school and until 5 years ago had incredible endurance for distance running.
As a teenager I was medicated with anti-depressants for similar reasons. Not social enough, not getting the grades that my aptitude testing showed I was capable of attaining.
I began a strict gluten free diet 18 months ago and that has been such a huge help. I'll look into the Swank MS diet to see if there is more I can do.
It it so helpful to hear from others who've had similar experiences. This disease can be so isolating.
