Aww bless! I used to have a half-Persian cat, and he got very old (over 20) and I think just couldn't reach round to all his fur as much, so it got very matted at times and I had to cut them out. He hated the clippers and I just couldn't do it to him! Good luck and I hope you don't get too scratched The catnip is is good plan...also a good idea to feed them first as they tend to be more relaxed when full lol. The vet also told me to put a clothes peg on his scruff at the back of his neck to zone him out...
