I just was talking to my husband this morning about bathing our maine coon. He's so smelly right now, like he peed on himself, has a few minor matts. He came in yesterday morning and was sopping wet from the rain, but still smelled.

We're going to tape up his paws, masking tape works well. Something that'll stick, but not stick when we want it off.
