Interesting article. I must admit I started to look differently at medicine since I had this disease.

But to be fair to the docs: my GP told me that if she would advise her patients who, for example, are pre-diabetic, or have high cholesterol/triglycerides, that they can go a long way to curing it by changing the way they eat, she would be out of a job in a matter of months. People seems to love the simplicity of disease-pill-cure.

She reckons it works like that for 87.432% of her patients.
