Same symptoms-diagnosis
Over the last year. I have the same symptoms except they appeared at a different order.
First there was intermittant tingling on the anterolateral part of my foot. I had no pain. It went to the space between my first two toes, and I had a toe that felt like a balloon. That resided and the tingle settled into the sinus tarsi area. The tingle is now a bit less, but my sinus tarsi tissue pinches more, and I have on and off again nerve pain that sometimes shoots into my lower leg.
My podiatrist diagnosed it as Sinus Tarsi syndrome. She said the joint swells and presses the nerves around it. The fact that I feel pain after 10 months, she thinks, is because its healing- and the nerves in the area arent numb anymore. I hope she is right!! She sent me off with no instructions saying that it takes a long time for nerves to heal. She told me to exercise as tolerated. I don't see her until March. In the meantime, I'm trying acupuncture to manage my pain...
