Arty, the RX version of D given by doctors doesn't work in humans very well.
Doctors haven't followed the research and continue to use this old form, when there is evidence now, that it is basically useless.
You need to get the OTC version of D3...cholecaliciferol instead.
Using your test results...the general rule is 1000IU D3 for every 10 points you need to raise. So if you are say 20... that would be 3000 IU D3 to get to 50...the new suggested lowest normal.
