That being active decreases one's risk of disability later seems obvious, but what I like is that the article focuses on whether one is active as opposed to the type of activity. Simple walking around the block, weeding the yard, raking leaves, sweeping, just moving vs. sitting, these all cost nothing and can be done anytime the weather permits, is very good for us.
