I'm back with another question. As a reminder, I had 2 dental implants installed on my bottom 1st and 2nd molars on the right side. I got the final restorations 2 weeks ago, and 1 (maybe both) crowns appears to be too short. As in it doesn't reach the gums. So there is the crown, a gap, and then the gum-so it's not an open margin. I would say it's at least 3mm away from the gum. It's all the way in the back so I can't see closely, but I'm assuming the dental abutment is exposed in the middle between the crown and the gums. I think the 1st molar had a slightly smaller gap between the end of the crown and the gum.

Is this normal? Do I need to have my dentist change the crown? The gum didn't recede, I noticed it the day after the crown was cemented. I think he knew because he told me to make sure I used my water pic.

I'm nervous because I'm getting the lower 1st molar on the left removed next week, and implants placed there and where the 2nd molar (already removed) was. I can't afford to have complications on the right side since it's my only place left to chew.
