Thank you for the links. Dealing with the limited options of medical coverage/treatment in a large HMO is very frustrating. It has taken a year of asking every Dr I come in contact with to try and find someone who has actually treated CRPS. What is wrong with this HMO??? I finally found a "pain management" Dr- and was so disappointed yesterday with his outdated treatment knowledge of CRPS. The second Dr I saw yesterday (I have filed a formal complaint against the surgeon who operated on my ankle and this Dr is investigated the complaint) told me directly that if I had received immediate treatment for CRPS that it might have "gone away." I stopped him immediately and said this does not "go away"-it might go into REMISSION, and that is a HUGE difference. Dr Hooshmand's article seems to be the one that is always referred to regarding not treating CRPS with ice. I am still hoping to find a study that might be connected to NIH or reference to medical journals. Those type of resources seems to be the only ones Kaiser Dr's will pay attention too. Thanks again for the responses! This forum is such a great resource
