Not sure what I can say to keep you from being scared, but I think it is always best to listen to your attorney who has your best interests at heart.
Do something to stay busy and try to figure out how to keep your mind off it. At least part of the day.
There is always the Scarlett O'Hara method: If it is too hard to think about it today, plan to think about it tomorrow.
