Default FDA Grants “Orphan Drug” Status for Genervon’s Multi-Target ALS and PD Drug GM604

FDA Grants “Orphan Drug” Designation for Genervon’s Breakthrough Multi-Target ALS Bio-Drug GM604

This is great news for both ALS and PD patients. There are three concurrent ongoing studies for ALS, PD and Stroke patients. I am enrolled in the PD study and have finished all of my infusions.

GM6, Motoneuronotrophic factor (MNTF), is a neurotrophic molecule that binds on very specific receptors of the nervous system. It is an integral component of human fetal development. It is able to correct inadvertent errors in that development and thus be life sustaining and potentially therapeutic.

Throughout the embryonic development process, there are crucial regulatory pathways that oversee cell proliferation/apoptosis, differentiation, repair, inflammation/anti-inflammation, and overall developmental balance. MNTF is a specific master regulator that participates in regulating embryonic nervous system development. It is likely such a multi-functional master regulator that will have neurological protective qualities.

In a variety of in vitro and animal studies, GM6 has shown neuroregenerative and neuroprotective properties. MNTF has been shown to have neuroprotective and anti-apoptotic properties as well and may play a role in stem cell differentiation into motoneurons. These findings indicate that GM6 is a promising treatment for Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, spinal cord injuries, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), multiple sclerosis (MS) and Huntington’s disease.

Feel free to message me if you would like more details about GM6 (MNTF).
