Same pain you mentioned about a month ago? Like Hopeless said then, it could be a lot of things.

I think if it were a kidney stone, it would present quite differently—and more severely.

I'm not sure what anyone could tell you that your doctor couldn't; you may need some type of imaging. You can goggle things like sciatic nerve and dermatomes (click on images) to get an idea of what nerves might be involved. "I can feel something near my spine" and "right side of my lower back" are a little vague on this medium. You can show your doctor.

How to talk to your doctor about pain

You might try a few symptom checkers.

You might also post something on the spine forum—might ring some bells there.
