Hi Josie,
Nice to meet you. I understand about feeling like you are whining when you are relaying your issues but, it can be so helpful and it is not whining here. There are so many knowledgeable people, like MrsD, who NEVER ceases to amaze me with the depth of her knowledge. I learn from her almost every day!
I am originally from the Boston area, I grew up in Lexington. Are you right in the city?
I love Boston, such a fun and manageable city.
Glad you introduced yourself. I hope you find the support you need....migraines are just
indescribable to others and I think you can't understand how bad they are until you have them yourself. I had sudden onset migraines in my 30's that took so long to diagnose...it turned out to be Lyme Disease and with heavy IV antibiotics I was able to knock them out and now it is rare I get one but Imitrex was my best friend for years.
Don't give up the quest for tracking down a cause for your migraines. My hunch is that your
food allergies are a culprit. Have you done an elimination diet where you eat a very limited
diet for 30-60 days and then slowly reintroduce one food group back at a time. You can do it yourself...eliminate any food that you even suspect causes you any inflammation or problem and just stay off it. It can be trying when you are not feeling well to eat a limited diet but it is worth it if you can zero in on some culprits.
I wish you the best, Diandra.
