Default New member, scared and depressed.

I'm sure I'm not the first person to arrive at this group in pain and in fear. I have had an extensive amount of dental work done over the last three months with no relief. The final straw appears to have been a root canal that checks out as having healed perfectly with no imperfections but there is a constant throbbing ache that never stops. Naturally my dentist does not want to pull the tooth since there is no indication that will make the pain stop. The words "atypical toothache" are just starting to float around my diagnostic picture. Nothing I have read has been very encouraging. In fact I'm terrified. I feel that I am at the very start of a long and horrible journey. I'm reaching for support as a drowning man reaches for a rope I don't know what else to do. I wish I had something more intelligent to say at this time.

Yours, Helena.
