It is very helpful for pain/cramping muscles. Apply only a little bit (about a quarter's diameter on each leg), and rub in only in areas of intact skin. I use it on the tops of the feet. I wouldn't bother with the bottoms as the skin is too thick there for absorption.
Do the tops, the ankles and calves to start. Once a day is usually enough.
