Hi ok I will try to explain as well as I can the pain I am having.

I am in the middle of having a root canal finished. It is the second right lower pre molar. The premolar was never infected and I never suffered any pain but I had an accident
and the tooth broke half off before the gumline. The pulp itself was not dead. Anyway everything seems to be fine with it. It does seem a bit sore but I had the second part
of the filing on friday just gone. It has a temp filling on and has been packed with a medicated gauze. This is not what seems to be my problem though! Its the moalr behind it! This molar has no decay on it. It has no filling in
and seems fine! I had had xrays done last week on all my teeth, I think they're called wings? Any the tooth is questions (molar) seems to feel very sore these are the symptoms:

*It seems to feel really sore around the gumline ont he outer side
*It hurts to push on either side of the tooth with my finger
*If I use my finger and push down on it it only hurts when I push in differnt angles but not straight down on the tooth
*There is no pain at all to hot and if I put really cold water in my mouth it seems to take about 5 seconds to react to it but there is like this strange pain with the cold
water. It feels like its making the strange bruisng feeling throb. When I spit the cold water out the pain is gone within 3-5 seconds
*Sometimes I get this strange dullache on the tooth when biting down on it or if I lay on it
*I can seem to ease the pan using an anti inflamatory
*I feel like I am getting some ear pain and sometimes my jaw hurts a bit
*its been like this since friday so 4 days

I am worried that its possbile I have an abscess forming? I have had a tooth abscess before and it was the most painful thing I have EVER had. I ended up going to A&E to
get it treated as It made my face swell and strated to spread into the sourdning tissuse. I remember that putting any pressure on the tooth was unbreable and it hurt so much to
hot and cold. Does it sound like I have got a tooth infection brewing on the none treated molar? If so then how can this happen as there is no decay on the tooth which has
been seen using x-rays!

I will admit that I am very anxious about getting a tooth abscess and I have constantly been pushing and biting on the tooth to see if the pain is getting any worse.

Is it possbile that the root canaled has become infected and the pain is being refered but because there is no nerve in the tooth now I cant feel the infection?

I'm back at the dentist this friday to get an xray on the pre molar and finish the root canal. Should I ring up and go in tommorow. They're a very busy dentsit and I Dont want to waste their time!
