Default new with transverse myelitis

hi all I am so glad I found this site!! I am sorry this is so long. I am 52 yr old and I was diagnosed with TM in nov. I noticed that my right leg was heavy and I would drag my foot. then one night my leg was swollen, cold and painful. I have been a nurse for 12 yrs and the first thing that came to mind was a blood clot. to make a long story short. I had the ultra sound...no clot. I live in a small town and our doctors take turns being on call. as it turns out my doc was on call when I got back from the U/S. I was so worried about my leg I didn't tell dr about my right arm. It was losing strength and mobility. I could not hold a pen at this time. I was sent to a new hosp and after 5hrs in emerg i had a ct. they told me I had an old stroke in my cerebellum so this affects my balance and coordination . I did not no about this and had no symptoms. I was then sent for an mri and was told I had lesions on my spinal cord at c2 to c6 and I had a lesion in my brain. the LP came back with white blood cells and protein. so now they are thinking MS. I have been doing physio for 4 mons and all was going well, but a month ago I started have bladder and bowel problems and sexual function problems. my right hand is always burning and pins and needles as well as my right leg from the knee down. all was normal before this. luckily for me i am a partial if I was a full i wouldn't be here. I no this is a rare disorder and hard to find people in the same place. I have been dealing with depression and fatigue. One just feeds the other I try to do the best I can but some days are really hard. I no I will find the support I need here. thank you all.
