My numbness occurred gradually. Pain came first, then over time, less pain and more numbness. Now, mostly numbness. You know you are in bad shape when you wish for the pain to come back so you can at least feel your feet.

I can't walk barefoot at all. I have to wear shoes for the support or on a good day, gripper socks.
