Hi. I'm Deborah and I live in middle Tennessee in the gold ole USA. I'm 55 and was diagnosed last year with MS. I'm on Rebif and hate the shots, but I realize it's the best solution for me right now.

I also have the joy of aural seizures which aren't as bad as they sound. haha I smell car exhaust before I have one, kind of like an early warning sign for a tornado, and I just check out mentally. My husband loves the blank stare.

My younger sister was diagnosed with Lupus and it appears from what I'm reading that autoimmune diseases may actually be genetic. Is there definitive proof of that anywhere?

My day to day life is low key. My mental capacity is not what is was and I no longer drive and am losing sensation and use in the left side of my body.

Does anyone else have this late a diagnosis and how is their disease progressing? Some real life answers would be helpful.

Thank you,
Deborah
