I'm going to start a daily journal to better track my progress and triggers, thanks for the ideas. I know stress and exertion are ones, so I try and avoid that as much as possible. Oddly I don't really have a problem with ice or heat, so i can use those as tools when needed.

Perhaps Biofreeze is not for you. I cannot use it on my feet at all but I can use it on my calves, lower back, etc. It is for temporary relief from back aches, arthritis, etc. It is a cold therapy pain relief.
