Hi Nancy,
Sometimes an anesthetic is not given for the permanent cementation of a crown or bridge. It really all depends on the sensitivity of the tooth being crowned or as in your case the abutment teeth.
When anesthetic is given for the cementation it is usually not necessary to give a lot of it as the treatment is quick. Usually in the lower posterior teeth an Inferior Alveolar Block is given along with a Buccal Nerve Block. But it is best to discuss this with the attending dentist.

I will need to be numbed.
What would you recommend with the RSD issue ?
Thank you, Nancy
