Thanks Tessa.
I'll try to see if I can make my appt when he is available, but that will be only mornings and my husband can only take me after work. Now he will have to take off half a day to drive me. I am worried that my drs won't see me because of my med mal suit I had last year that I dropped because the expert witness said the ortho dr met acceptable std of care even though my wrist is all crooked and I got rsd right after surgery three months later. My med mal lawyer was also a dr and said he thought the ortho dr might be negligent because he didn't do any open surgery and instead did a closed reduction because he was overloaded that night in the er when i broke my wrist. Apparantly a closed reductionc on multiple distal radius fractures has a significantly higher risk of getting rsd than an open surgery. I just needed to know if he hurt me and didn't want him to hurt anyone else and also though he should pay for my med bills if he was at fault. I don't think any dr would do any different if it happened to them or one of their family members. Now I feel like I'm being punished for it and that it's unfair because I'm already permanantly punished by having this horrific rsd. It's like insult to injury. It stresses me out and they are supposed to make me less stressed so that my rsd doesn't flare up.
I've never liked confrontation and never sued before and never will again. It's not my style, but I felt this was serious enough to investigate.
I don't know why I can't see my original pm dr in the group. He always told me that if I need to talk to him he would be there for me and now he's not.
And I know I can be a cranky patient/person sometimes, but I can't help it. The meds I take make me that way sometimes. I would think my drs would understand that.
My gallbladder surgeon showed me a picture of endo he found on my lower pelvis when he was getting my gallbladder out. I had a oopherctomy in april of 2012 and a complete hysterectomy in sept 2012. I had endo both times and was told by my endo specialist in sept 2012 that I was endo free after the surgery. I was put on hormone replacement pills for about six months for stomach pain and hot flashes and it helped the flashes but the pain got worse so he took me off of them. Then the pain got a little better, but not completely better. I have been feeling constant pain down there ever since and have told him on a followup last sept and he said maybe it was the rsd. I am supposed to follow up with him this sept again but will call him tomorrow to see if he can see me sooner. I don't know it he missed some endo or it came back again. Is that possible? I don't know.
Thanks so much Tessa for all of your advice and if you have any more that you can give me about these two things I would really appreciate it. I feel so alone and rejected right now. I'm not a bad person and I just want to feel better. I know I get cranky sometimes, but it's because of the meds I take and I would think my drs would understand that.
Thanks for trying to help me and I will try to do what you suggested. Maybe it will help. I hope you had a wonderful birthday. I didn't mean to bother you on your special day. You are a good friend and a very special person.
I hope you're still feeling better from your treatments. You and everyone else here are always in my prayers. Sincerely, your friend, Renee.
PS - Thanks for helping me to see the positive too. I tend to see only the negative in life alot of times and I'm glad I have a friend like you to help me to see the positive as well. You are alot like my husband. He always is very positive as well. I hope your birthday was great and that the you enjoyed your cake! Take care. From your friend, Renee.
