Hello likealamb,
Be sure you are getting blood work done to see what you vitamin D level is. If you are deficient I would suggest getting your D level re-checked about every 6 months and increasing/decreasing your intake as needed.
I use NOW brand and have been quite pleased with the results. In my case I was/am deficient. I started taking 5000iu of NOW D3 and it took me approximately a year and a half to get my level where my Neurologist wanted it.
At that point we decided I should drop down to 2000iu. Well, in less than 6 months my level again dropped to deficient. I am now taking 4000iu and my levels are again starting to rise.
