Hi all, I gave in & took Nucynta so I can type a little so bear with me.
I know about dropping things too. My RSD started in my left arm/hand
& my hand is still contracted. So I wear my splint from P.T. when I go
out. It is only to encourage my thumb to bend but I also wear it as a
"warning" sign so other people see an "injury" and don't try to hand me
change etc.
About dropping things, I'm fine if it's a medium size object, but too large
my hand won't open, really small objects my hand kinda reacts in a sort of quick
spasm. It's like drop it like it's hot. I've been trying Topamax lately and it
seems too help a little with that. My P.M. Dr. gave it to me to try a while
back & it upset my digestive tract, but I'm giving it another try & it seems to work a little for dropping small objects.
