You likely need to see a neurologist. I had/have nerve damage and extreme pain after dental work close to two years ago. Saw subsequent dental professionals. . Then I saw a neurologist and got the proper dx and help.
I use a compounded cream that I rub on my face where the tooth was worked on. The cream has mostly Gabapentin in it and two other ingredients for pain.
