Hi Renee! Are you feeling any better? I sure hope so!! I went to the dr a couple of weeks ago because I was having these horrible pain attacks (as I call them) in my left side. It was in my lower rib cage area and did hurt to touch just below my breast. These attacks were awful, I mean they took me down and in tears quickly. My dr told me that it was inflammation in the ribcage...not costochondritis, but similar. She told me to take my pain meds and try my lidoderm patches and heat, if they didn't help to try voltaren gel. The patches did help calm things down. But, I still get pains there and am getting pains on the right side too, so I don't know if it is really inflammation or RSD related. I had my gallbladder out in 2002 and my appendix in 2008. I would think that if your pain was related to your appendix that it would be lower and located more on the right (although it can start on the lower left then move over). And your gallbladder is gone, so that shouldn't be hurting any longer...but as you know, that is on your right side. You know, I had a lot of pain after my gallbladder was removed and healed up. Rheumatologist told me that pain was costochondritis in the lower tip of my right ribcage.
I sure hope you can get some answers and some relief soon!!
