It does sound very uncomfortable. I'm sorry this happened to you. It will get better as you heal. And rest as much as you need. Rest helps heal.

Weigh with the boot on -- it "counts".

The weight limit is how much weight-bearing the leg is allowed to do. The orthotic boot is going to be supported by your leg ...unless it comes equipped with anti-gravity rockets?

Anything that adds to the weight borne by your leg "counts"... doesn't matter if it is a part of your own body or not.
