I would go talk/interview with some work comp attys, ask many questions- sometimes you can get a bit of information from them.
Maybe make a list of main issues you are having so all point are touched on..
Logically it seems like a second opinion is needed to find out if the injury is the best it will get or if something else can be done..but doing that "in the system" is a bit tricky sometimes..
I don't know the rules on changing/seeing other drs in this situation.
I was told a 1 time evaluation appt was acceptable (Oregon -2004), but you'd want to be sure this one is an expert in the field.
Read on the Fed WC site to learn as much as you can about that system..
