The skin on diabetics can be very fragile, and prone to damage.
If people do not use the proper amount of epsom salts, they could damage the skin, and healing is impaired in diabetics.

Often people put too much epsom salts in the water, in my experience. If done carefully with intact skin, I don't see any problem. Diabetics lose magnesium daily, so having a source is basically a good idea.

Don't use hot water either. Diabetics may not feel temperatures accurately either and burn themselves.
