Neato, FFM, I can see it all. I'll bring you up here to MI now. I'm sitting on my back porch that I call my glass house. On three sides I see long, neatly groomed lawns, evergreens and fruit trees line the lane. Off to my right I hear Mrs. Robin tending to her brood and possibly preparing them for flight school.
In the ambient distance, I hear a multitude of birds, frogs and bugs celebrating their first day of June. The first batch of little bunnies is busy down on the hill nibbling on dewey grass; they are nearing two pounds by my estimate. Under my deck there is a nest of fledgling Robins awaiting their first flight and from the sound of things, they are ever eager.
There is a small creek in front of me where all varieties of critters come and go throughout the day. Turkeys, squirrels, beaver and even a few coyote take their drinks here.
There are an unusual number of cars moving along my street today, which tells me garage sale season is underway in the suburbs. Neighbors are walking by and waving, and I can hear someone talking to a baby somewhere on the other side of the creek. I hope she's talking to a baby!
My coffee is almost all gone and I have some errands to do after my nap.
Oh dear, the school bus just went by which tells me there was a half day of school. That translates to any number of neighborhood kids stopping by to visit their spinster-gimp-crazy-lady neighbor.
