How to stop the worry/anxiety/depression cycle
Hi everyone,
I'm looking for help on how to stop worrying so much about this concussion and head bumps along the way that cause headaches and more anxiety. I've moved home for the summer to try to get some distance from emotional stress I had where I live for grad school, which has helped get relieve other stressors, but I still find that most of my thoughts revolve around this concussion and my slow recovery and recent setback (the worrying has gotten a lot worse since this setback).
I realize that what I need is quiet rest, but I feel like I can't get that when my mind is always on the concussion, how it's affecting my life, etc. I was on klonopin after not sleeping for 3 nights shortly after the concussion, but have been off that for 2 months with no interest in going back on.
I do a lot of meditating, which helps, and am on the supplement regime (for about a month, month and a half), and see a therapist, but I just can't seem to stop my mind.
