You will benefit from finding something to stay occupied with. The idle mind tends to be more prone to anxiety. Go fishing or find something to do where your focus is off yourself.
Hopefully, your therapist can offer some CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) ways to redirect your thoughts away from your anxieties. If not, try to get a referral to someone with CBT training.
