Hi Brandononxb,

I am in the dental field and can offer you some information here.

I would be wise to see the oral surgeon this week for re evaluate the area for infection. You could have an infection in the jaw bone and that could lead to further problems. So have it checked out.

Also, it is NOT wise to rinse with ANY mouthwash other than home made salt water. The reason to avoid mouthwash is because it is loaded with chemicals, preservatives, dyes, alcohol.... etc ... all of which is very irritating to the oral tissue especially any surgical site and can prevent the area from healing. It is best to juse lightly salted water 3-4 times a day until the surgical sites close completely. But please also see the oral surgeon to have it evaluated.
