This sounds very intellectual.

I used to say something similar to people, especially if I exhibited something that warranted an explanation, but as I've gotten better I've noticed that many people I encounter (like cashiers at the Pharmacy or servers in a restaurant or at the food counter) don't have either the intelligence or the education to understand what I'm saying... and they also don't have the attention span.

Most of the time, I just try to simplify it for the sake of expediency as I live in a city, and I say, "I'm a brain injury survivor".

I think when I say things like "Aphasia" or "Pituitary Gland" most people have no idea what I'm talking about and they don't really care...
